Introduction to Map-Making
Saturdays, May 7 and 21, 3:00–5:00pm
$50 for Both Sessions | $30 for One Session
Map-making, also known as the science of cartography, is a very old tradition that combines practicality with art. Come to this unique two-part workshop to discover what makes a map a good one and get the chance to hone your artistry skills by creating your own using a combination of tracing, stamping, line-drawing, and watercolor. Whether it be a fantasy map or a rendering of a real location that is important to you, you are sure to leave with a piece of art that you can reference in real life as well as admire.
In the first class, learn about the fundamentals of map-making and get the chance to practice on a small scale. Spend the entirety of the second class creating a detailed map of your choice.
